Orders
  • How can I check the status of my order?
You can consult your order status in the private area of our web www.hofmann.es. To access this, just enter your email and password.
  • If I notice a mistake after sending the file, can you modify it or cancel the order?
Once you have sent your file, we cannot modify anything, as the background, image and text layers are all fused into one single image that cannot be edited. The programme warns you of this before you start the ordering process. Even changing your shipping details may produce an error once the manufacturing process has started. It is therefore necessary that you check your file carefully before submitting your project.
  • ¿Can I pay in a different way other than by credit card?
No, our aim is to ensure that we can deliver your product in the most economical and efficient way. Paying by credit card simplifies administrative work and reduces costs per album, so this is the best way for you to pay.

Payments can be made using a Visa or a MasterCard, from any bank, and these go through a secure connection with our bank La Caixa.
  • Why haven't I received an email confirming that you have received my order?
We do send confirmation emails, but they are sent automatically, so some spam filters may block them or place them in your junk mail. If you have not received a confirmation 4 hours after sending your file, you should check your order status in the private customer area on www.hofmann.es. You have to give your email and password to access this section.
  • How can I place an order?
After finishing your project, just click on the "Order" icon on the icon menu. The system will take you through all the steps until you're finished. Then your order will be sent over the Internet to our servers.
  • Is credit card payment safe using your web?
Payment is made through a secure connection to La Caixa bank, so no one, not even us, can see your details. Only when payment has been received does La Caixa notify us that your payment has been made correctly.
  • Can I order more than one album in one single order?
Of course, but only provided you want various copies of the same design.
My pictures
  • What do the triangles shown on the photos of my project mean? Will they be shown on my printout?
The triangles tell you about the resolution of your photos. If the triangle is yellow, this means your photo has a resolution of from 60% to 89%. Most users consider any resolution above 60% to be acceptable. If on the other hand you see a red triangle, this means you have a resolution of from 0% to 59%. The lower the resolution from 60% down, the greater the chances of obtaining a pixelated or blurred picture. In this case it is recommendable to reduce the size of the image box for the photo in question. These triangles are only for information purposes and are not printed in your album. If you see no triangle, it means that your resolution is above 90%.
  • What should I do if the programme tells me the photo quality is not good enough for the print size I have chosen?
The only solution is to reduce the size of the image. As shown in the programme messages, most users find a resolution of 60% acceptable. This means that except for smaller details that are generally overlooked, the photo will come out all right. If you want a 100% resolution for all your photos, you have to take them at a higher camera resolution.

Here's a rule of thumb to help you:

Resolution Maximum print size for 21x29 format

    1418 x 1103 pixels 18 x 14 cm. Valid for 2 photos per page with margins
    1811 x 1339 pixels 23 x 17 cm. Valid for 2 photos per page without margins
    2205 x 1575 pixels 28 x 20 cm. Valid for 1 photo per page without margins
    2520 x 1890 pixels 32 x 24 cm. Valid for 1 photo per page and a half
    2913 x 2126 pixels 37 x 27 cm. Valid for double page with margins
    3150 x 2362 pixels 40 x 30 cm. Valid for double page without margins
